SURF CITY - The Surf City Police Department is pleased to announce another fantastic Community Policing Program offered to citizens in the Town of Surf City. With the month of May being Metal Health Awareness month, we have felt the need to add the S.A.V.E. (Special Awareness Verification Enrollment) program to our list of community policing programs.

Turtle Hospital now open

Pender libraries join Reading Aloud campaign

PENDER COUNTY - Pender County Public Libraries have joined with 800 partners across the county in support of the Read Aloud 15 Minutes Campaign. A non-profit Parent and Community Awareness Program, Read Aloud 15 Minutes asks “What would U.S. education look like if every child were read aloud to for 15 minutes every day?”
