SURF CITY – Summer is here and Topsail Island and Surf City is gearing up for another great year. To see what and when events are planned click the link below:
TOPSAIL BEACH - The Town will be providing residents with a hurricane re-entry sticker on their May utility bill. The hurricane re-entry sticker will be affixed to the top portion of the water bill. The Town asks that residents save that portion of the bill and store it in the vehicle that they plan to use in case of an evacuation. This sticker will enable post storm re-entry onto the island. If for any reason an individual does not have this sticker in event of an evacuation, any bill associating a resident to their home on the island will also suffice for re-entry. Should you have any questions, please contact Town Hall at 910-328-5841
PENDER COUNTY – The Pender County commissioners have elected not to extend mediation with the school board over funding for the upcoming school year.
SURF CITY – Surf City Parks & Recreation will be hosting a Glow Run on Thursday, August 6 at 8:30 pm. This two mile fun run/ walk on the beach will be at Roland Beach Access next to Surf City Welcome Center located at 102 North Shore Drive. It’s free! Donations will be accepted. Glow sticks and water will be provided. There will be a bake sale to benefit Pretty in Pink Breast Cancer Foundation. Special thanks to the Sole Sisters and the Dudes Running Club volunteers for making this event possible!
SURF CITY - With the continued growth and interest in adult tennis play locally, Surf City Parks & Recreation is initiating a “tennis ladder” for recreational and social play – but with a competitive edge. You can challenge players either above or below you on the ladder and match play will run from August 1 – November 31, 2015
